Hello Families!

We had our FIRST FULL week of school, and boy, did we fit a lot in! Our students are well on their way to settling into their new classes and getting back into the routines of school.

This week, we celebrated DOT DAY! Thank you to everyone who participated. It was so much fun to see everyone’s creativity and bring a little extra fun to our week!

📚 Scholastic Book Fair

Next week, we will have our Scholastic Book Fair! Students will have the opportunity to visit the Book Fair during their Library/Media Special - see the schedule below.

The Book Fair will also be open during our Welcome Back Night on Thursday from 5:00–7:00 PM, so families will have another opportunity to shop together!

📱 Stay Connected in Rooms

Rooms continues to be our primary form of communication with families. Please make sure you are connected to your child’s teacher in Rooms. We will have support available during Welcome Back Night to make sure all families are successfully connected.

💻 ASPEN Information Update — All Families

ALL families need to log into ASPEN and update the information below. This must be completed every school year and helps us make sure we have the most up-to-date information for your child.

While we love to have fun at Studley, our main focus continues to be teaching and learning for our students. As a school, we consistently use data to inform our decisions and determine our next steps. We are highly collaborative and work together as a staff to establish and carry out a shared instructional vision.

Here are a few instructional highlights we are focusing on this year:

In honor of Dolly Parton - let's bring out the sparkles and sequence to end our Bookfair week! I mean - who doesn't love sparkles? And what better day that 9-25 ( a play on 9 to 5). 

Students at Studley have many opportunities to be caught doing the right thing and earn Studley tickets! Staff are always on the lookout for students demonstrating our expected behaviors, and students can use their tickets to enter weekly raffles or save them for bigger rewards.

Everly, a second grader, saved her tickets from last year so she could cash them in for a special opportunity to be the Principal’s Assistant! During her time as the assistant, Everly noticed students demonstrating expected behavior in Mrs. Blake’s first-grade classroom. She also made sure to check in on her big brother in Mrs. Crocker’s class.

Spending one-on-one time with our students is one of the greatest joys. We love seeing our Studley Stars shine in so many different ways!

At our last PTO meeting, the PTO raffled off our first VIP Pass as an incentive to encourage more families to attend our monthly meetings—and we’re excited to keep it going! Please note - this is a work in progress and may need adjustments as we live it!

This year, we hope to work together to make our PTO meetings a valuable part of our school community. We’ll share meaningful information with families and provide opportunities to learn more about some of our school processes, systems, and the work happening at Studley.

Please consider joining us! We know everyone would LOVE the chance to skip that car line! 😉

🎟️ There will be one VIP Pass winner at each PTO meeting. There is no limit to how many times you can win!

A quick reminder: Please allow our staff to manage the VIP Pass process. We will make sure the expectations and rules are clearly communicated and labeled so there is no confusion.

If you ever have questions about using this tool, Apptegy (the company that produces Rooms) offers a helpful support site called Rooms Central with a section made just for parents and guardians. There you will find guidance on setting up notifications, navigating the app, and finding the information you need.

Since the teachers are instructing students, we cannot guarantee they will see your message, which is why we ask you to contact the office after the school day starts. We know unforeseen circumstances come up, but we ask that you do your best to call before 2:00PM.

Similar to last year, breakfast and lunch is provided free of charge. You can find food menus on the website at Food Menus

Breakfast:

For students who need to eat breakfast at school, we ask that families drop them off at 8:30 AM. This allows students enough time to eat and return to their classrooms in time for the 8:45 AM start of school. Starting the day with their classmates helps students begin the morning on time and ready to learn.

Please talk with your child about breakfast expectations and remind them that they should only go to breakfast if they did not eat at home and plan to eat breakfast at school. This helps ensure that breakfast is available for students who need it and allows everyone to get to class on time.

Lunch:

Please review lunch choices with your child, and make sure there is something they will like. For younger students, talk to them about which choice they want, so making the choice in the classroom is easier for them.

New this year: Information will be updated through your ASPEN portal. This information must be updated each year to ensure we have the most recent and updated information. This is in place of the yellow forms that typically come home each year. Please take some time to complete this following the directions below.

 If you are interested in joining the Friendship Book, scan the QR code and add your information. This book's purpose is to help families build connections for the students outside of school.

Communication is key. We are all on the same team. If at any time you have any questions or concerns, please reach out. We ask that your child's teacher ALWAYS be the first point of contact. They often have more information and can best answer your questions.

Studley Star: Each week, you will receive communication from the school sharing important news and updates. Please be sure to read it, so you are up to date on the happenings at school.

APS Mobile App/Rooms: Please be sure you download the Attleboro Public Schools mobile app. This application features Rooms, which is the platform that allows teachers and administration to communicate with families. If you need help with this, we will have support at our Meet and Greet.

The best way for your child to be successful is to come to school each day. Students cannot learn, participate, and make the most of their educational experience if they are not in school.

We understand that illnesses and family situations arise, and we want to support families when these circumstances occur. At the same time, we do not want students coming to school when they are sick.

Please know that we take attendance seriously and are committed to working together with families to support regular attendance and a successful school year. Your child’s consistent attendance makes a meaningful difference in their learning and progress.

We appreciate your cooperation, understanding, and partnership in helping your child have a successful year.
