You're Invited: A Night to Discover

On March 19, 2026, at 6:00 PM, Attleboro Public Schools (APS) will host A Night to Discover: APS Student Learning and Community Partnership Showcase. This annual event is an opportunity for APS staff, students, families, and community organizations to come together as students throughout the district display their learning experiences and local community resources share information about their services and programs. We look forward to seeing you there.

This week we celebrated "Read Across America Week" in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday. One of our favorite days here at Willett is when students and staff dress up as characters from books. Here are some of the great costumes that were worn on Tuesday.

PE with Mr. Silver

We have had a fantastic year so far! Our goal in PE is to foster lifelong health, physical literacy, and positive social skills in a safe, inclusive environment. There is an emphasis on developing movement competence, confidence and enjoyment of activity, ensuring all students can build healthy habits, regardless of ability. Some of the learning experiences that we have done this year include several tag games, fitness assessments, throwing and catching skills, cooperative games, as well as some sports and lead up activities. The following pictures consist of some of our cooperative team games of Magic Sleigh Ride and Whale Pod Hunt.

In the Magic Sleigh Ride game, the kids worked in groups/teams. They would take turns in each role and work together to collect as many beanbags/balls (Toys) as they could. The students had a great time using the scooters and working in teams. In the Whale Pod Hunt game, the kids had to cooperatively move together using the hula hoops. They needed to stay together and collect as many beanbags (Fish) as they could. The kids did a great job working in teams/pods. They also had to demonstrate good sportsmanship as they competed with other whale pods to collect the most fish. It was great to see such good teamwork and exceptional sportsmanship.
