As a reminder, our last day for students in Grades 1-4 is Friday, June 20th and is a half day for studnets. In observance of Juneteenth, there is no school on Thursday, June 19th.
Please return all borrowed library books back to us by Friday, June 13th.

The third graders worked hard researching historical figures from Massachusetts. Students were excited to share their speeches at the Attleboro Public Library this week in the form of a “Living Wax Museum.” We are very proud of them! Thank you families for helping with this project.
Reminder: Transportation Applications are due by the last day of school, June 20, 2025. Applications received after this date are processed on a first come/first serve basis and are not guaranteed a bus for the first day of school. Be a part of history right here in Attleboro! The Attleboro Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) Monument Committee is building a beautiful and historic monument in Capron Park. The monument is for servicemembers and their families to recognize, remember, and reflect on the nation's longest and still ongoing war. The monument will be erected this fall, and the committee needs your help to raise awareness and donations for this monument. In order for it to become a reality, the committee must raise $100,000. We are over halfway there.
Interestingly, there was a similar fundraising effort to save the USS Constitution from being demolished. Students across the Commonwealth donated pennies to help restore this historic vessel. We are asking students, parents, and guardians to make any donation they are able to make. We hope to see many APS staff and students at the monument dedication this fall.
The GWOT monument is full of symbolism. The GWOT began after 9-11-01. The monument is 9 feet tall and 11 feet wide. There were three impact sites - NYC, Washington DC, and Shanksville PA - and there are three granite panels.

Be on the lookout for the Attleboro Public Library Community Read Passport coming home in your child’s backpack. Students can use these passports to collect stamps at the various community reading events held throughout the school year. Once the passports are filled, they can bring them to school or to the public library to receive special recognition at the summer reading kick-off in June. All events will be listed on the calendar at attleborolibrary.org.
