Dear Thacher Families,
After forcing our Fun Run indoors a few weeks ago, the weather gods smiled upon us with perfect weather for today's Field Day. The energy and enthusiasm from our students was absolutely infectious, and we couldn't be prouder of how everyone participated with such great sportsmanship and joy. Every activity was filled with laughter and cheering.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers who helped make today such a success. Your willingness to run stations, cheer on participants, and help with setup and cleanup truly made all the difference. We also want to recognize Mr. Henry, Mr. Rendell and all our staff who worked tirelessly to organize every detail and ensure a safe, fun experience for all.
Watching students encourage each other, celebrate victories together, and simply enjoy being kids reminded us once again why we love what we do. These are the moments that make lasting memories, and we're so grateful we could share this beautiful day with our school community.

Our final week will be filled with classroom celebrations, yearbook signings, and bittersweet moments as we prepare to say goodbye to another class moving up and hello to summer break. We encourage families to help students savor these last few days while also beginning to transition to summer routines.
Please note that bus routes may run slightly early next week. With our ELC (Early Learning Center) students finishing on Monday and fewer students overall riding the buses during this final week, our drivers may arrive at stops a few minutes ahead of the usual schedule. As a reminder buses have a 10 minutes window at arrival and dismissal. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate these end-of-year adjustments.
Shockingly, rain is indeed in the forecast for the weekend...Happy Father's Day to all our PAWsome dads!
Warm regards,
Frank Rich, Principal
