Principal's Message

Dear Thacher Families,

Congratulations to our 3rd and 4th graders who have wrapped up MCAS testing for the year! We're super proud of them for working so hard.

Our School Council has created a School Engagement Survey that we hope will help us better meet the needs of the community. It should only take about 5 minutes and the feedback will be invaluable. Please click: 2025 Thacher/ELC School Engagement Survey.

We've shifted fully into Boosterthon mode! This is our PTO's biggest fundraiser of the year and makes it so we don't have to raise money throughout the year with wrapping paper sales, etc. Please spread the word to your friends and family! Also, we're very competitive and want to make sure we beat Willett, Hyman Fine and Studley who are also holding their Boosterthon fundraisers and Fun Runs.

Assuming the weather cooperates, we would love to have families come to our Fun Run on Friday to cheer the students on. However, if it rains and we have to hold the run inside, we won't be able to have families participate as we don't have the space to fit all the students AND families.

Schedule:

9:30 - 10:30: Kindergarten, Grade 1, Ms. Vandermark, Ms. Money, Ms. Newton

1:30 - 2:30: Grades 3 & 4, Ms. Tome, Mr. Camara

Sincerely,

Frank Rich, Principal

This Week in Physical Education

Students have been staying active and learning new skills through some exciting games over the last couple of weeks. We started off with Disc Golf, where students practiced aim, coordination, and patience throwing a frisbee. Then we moved into Capture the Flag, which brought out great teamwork, strategy, and plenty of running!

Now, we're kicking off our next unit—Kickball! This classic game helps students build skills in kicking, catching, and base-running, all while continuing to develop their sportsmanship and team spirit.

Our friends from the insights room have been practicing some of the events for the special olympics which is on Friday May 30th. They also had a fantastic time doing tie-dye for their T-shirts they will be rocking on that day.

Looking forward to a great end to the school year with many events coming up!

On May 9th, over 1,400 students participated in the Applied Learning Student Showcase at the Track at New Balance in Boston. They connected with more than 500 industry professionals, received valuable feedback, and explored real-world problem-solving through collaboration and hands-on learning. Congratulations to our TES representatives, Kenny T. and Koltin B. from Miss Strobel's Fourth Grade Class! They made us proud and represented Thacher and Attleboro with excellence.
