Dear Families,
As we bundle up against this week's bone-chilling temperatures, we're reminded that winter has truly arrived. With the thermometer dipping well below freezing and wind chills making it feel even colder, it's more important than ever to make sure your children come to school prepared for outdoor recess. We go outside every day that the feels-like temperature is above 25 degrees, so please send your students with warm winter coats, hats, gloves or mittens, and appropriate footwear. Layering is key—those few extra minutes spent getting everyone suited up in the morning make all the difference in keeping our students comfortable, healthy, and ready to enjoy their time outside. We appreciate your partnership in helping our kids stay warm and safe during these frigid days!
Warm regards,
Frank Rich, Principal
Sarah Desautel, Asst. Principal

Happy December Thacher Families!
I hope this message finds you well and filled with holiday cheer. I am excited to share the wonderful projects we have been working on this month. Your children have been so creative and enthusiastic, and I am thrilled to see their artistic skills and confidence growing.
This month, our students have been exploring the theme of Winter. We are painting snowy landscapes with cardinals and birch trees, creating collages of winter houses and snowmen, and connecting math & art with symmetrical snowflake designs. Their work has captured the beauty of the season! These projects focus on using a variety of materials and techniques, such as watercolor resist and paper layers, to bring their visions to life.
Thank you for supporting your child's artistic journey! I encourage you to ask them about their projects and what they enjoyed most about creating them. Your encouragement and interest means so much to help foster their love for art!
Warmest Regards,
Ms. Maglione
K-4 Art Teacher

IMPORTANT PARKING LOT SAFETY REMINDER |
Yesterday afternoon, a fire truck responding to our 911 call became stuck in our parking lot due to improper parking procedures. This created a dangerous delay during an emergency situation.
We recognize our parking lot needs an upgrade which is why we are on the list for parking lot improvements. However, we must all follow proper procedures to ensure everyone's safety until that work is completed.
Please carefully follow all posted parking lot guidelines during arrival and dismissal. Your cooperation is essential to keep our students, staff, and emergency responders safe.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
