Principal's Message

Dear Thacher Families,

The Yankees took the win last night, which means...

πŸ‘€ Keep your eyes peeled on MONDAY for Mrs. Desautel rocking Yankees gear! πŸ‘€

That's right - our Red Sox-loving Assistant Principal will be sporting the pinstripes as she honors her end of the challenge! Mr. Rich is already preparing his victory smile! πŸ˜„

This Morning and afternoon, TES staff celebrated an underground spirit day (shoutout to a certain Mastermind pop icon's new album πŸ‘€). Sparkles? βœ… Bejeweled! Friendship bracelets? βœ… You Belong With Me vibes! A hilarious "Shake It Off" challenge? βœ…βœ… Fearless energy! We're living in Daylight and feeling Golden! This Lavender Haze of positivity is exactly what we needed. πŸ’™ The Story of Us looks like joy, creativity, and community. State of Grace: Our staff knows how to Begin Again each day with fresh energy! Dear Reader, if your child mentions the festivities, now you know we had a Wonderland kind of day! This isn't just Style - it's substance. Happy staff = happy classrooms = The Best Day for everyone! ✨

Long Live Friday spirit! See you next week! πŸ’œ

Make sure you check out our Spanish Through the Arts flyer below. We still need 3 more students so sign up by 10/13 in order to run the program.

Warm regards,

Frank Rich, Principal

School Council

We’re excited to invite parents, caregivers, and community members to join our School Council! By law, every school has a council made up of both staff, family, and community representatives, and your voice is an important part of shaping our school’s future.

This year, the council will be working on both our current and new School Improvement Plan. Meetings are usually held virtually from October through February, making it easy to participate from home.

If you’re interested in serving or would like to learn more, please reach out me at frich@attleboroschools.com

You can also find additional information about School Councils here. We would love for you to join us!

Student Handbook

Parents/guardians must sign off as an acknowledgement of the student handbook. This has to be done for EACH CHILD. Thank you.

State Mandated Screenings

All health screenings conducted in school are required by Massachusetts State Law. Screenings are ongoing throughout the school year. If you do not wish your child to participate, you must write a letter to the school nurse declining your child’s participation. This letter must be written each year and be specific to which screenings you do not wish your child to participate in.

Vision (grades 1-4), hearing (grades K-3) and height & weight (grades 1& 4) screenings will begin next week and continue through the fall.

Vision Screenings:  PREK and Kindergarten SPOT vision screening with Lion's Club will take place on October 14th & 15th

Families are notified of any concerns and referred for evaluation as necessary.

Attleboro High School

Attleboro Families:

Attleboro High School greatly appreciates the support of families at all AHS sporting events.  While most students are there to watch the games and enjoy the event, a number of students have been left/dropped off unsupervised. This has created safety concerns and disruptions for other fans in attendance.

ALL middle school aged students and younger MUST be accompanied by an adult at all high school events.  We appreciate your support keeping all in attendance supervised while allowing an enjoyable environment for all.

Please know this expectation is currently in place for AHS events moving forward.

We look forward to seeing you all soon.
