Dear Families,
The topic on all of our minds is the snowstorm barreling towards us for the weekend. In the event of school closure or delay, families will be notified via text message. You can also visit the local news channel websites, as they will also cover school cancellations and delays.
Make sure you swing by the Attleboro Public Library to see our amazing artists' work on display. Our 2nd graders made cardinals, and our 4th graders drew birch trees. We're amazed at how talented so many of our students are!
Bundle up, stay safe, and enjoy the snow!
As a Giants fan, I can't believe I'm typing this, GO PATS!
Warm regards,
Frank Rich, Principal
Sarah Desautel, Asst. Principal

This Week in Physical Education |
Since returning from winter break, our students have jumped right into one of my favorite units-basketball. It’s been great to see the excitement and energy in the gym as students reconnect with classmates and get moving.
In our basketball lessons, students have been learning how to control the ball using proper dribbling technique with both hands, keeping their eyes up, the ball low and maintaining balance while moving. We have practiced different types of passes such as chest passes, overhead passes and bounce passes, focusing on accuracy and working with partners. Shooting activities have emphasized proper form using the acronym B.E.E.F. (Balance Eyes Elbow Follow Through). Through small-sided games and skill stations, students are applying these skills in active, engaging ways while continuing to develop fitness and teamwork.
A friendly reminder:
With winter here, please remember that students need to have sneakers for PE class. Snow boots/ crocs make it difficult and unsafe for students to participate in the many running, movement, and skill-based activities we do each day. Students are welcome to bring sneakers to school and change out of their boots/crocs before gym. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe, comfortable, and ready to move!
If you ever have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out at any time!

"Woah-oh, we're halfway there!" Monday, January 26th (or whatever our next day of school is), will be our 90th day of school! 90 more days to go! We'll be celebrating with a throwback to the 1990s with a 90s Spirit Day. Students and staff are encouraged to wear 90s-themed attire. ELC and Kindergarten started later, so it's not technically their 90th day, but we'd love their participation, too! |
