Happy Friday everyone!
What a successful first week back to school! It has been so fun, getting to know students and the staff here! Everyone has been so welcoming, and I hope your students have enjoyed getting to know me, just as much as I have been enjoying getting to know them. As I visit classrooms daily, I get a chance to see how quickly they've started picking up on classroom expectations and getting back into routines here at school.
I am beyond excited to welcome our K students to school next week on Wednesday, September 11. Families, please remember that with the addition of more students you may see a few delays in spaces such as car rider and park and walk areas. This could also affect our bus times too so we appreciate your patience and flexibility with families who might be joining these processes for the first time.
I wanted to take a moment to inform you that today we had our first fire drill of the school year. Teachers spent our first few days reviewing safety plans and expectations and today we experienced our official drill with Attleboro Fire Department. The students and staff did a wonderful job following our expected safety plans which lead to a very successful evacuation of the building.
So glad to be ending the week with lots of positive news.
Just a few reminders:
Please remember that emergency contact forms went home with students for your review along with other important back to school details. Please ensure that you are updating and returning any additional documents we may need for the start of the year. 🚨Please note a change to the student information form, regarding photo publications. If checking "Do Not Publish" please make sure you read the explanation underneath which clarifies that by checking the Do Not Publish box, you are identifying that you do not wish to have your child's image, name, work, etc. published anywhere, which includes our yearbook.
For families using our Car Rider area for arrival and dismissal, please ensure that adults/drivers stay in the vehicle at all times. All students should exit from the passenger side. If students need assistance to exit the vehicle, please consider using the park and walk option. It is also important to remind you that there should be no cars in the bus loop during arrival and dismissal.
The remaining details below are a recap of important information that any newly registered families should know. It will remain in the newsletter until our Kindergarten families have transitioned into the building. The PTO section has many new updates so please be sure to revisit that section regularly. We have lots of events that will be happening soon!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
