Principal Message

Dear Fine Families,

As we continue to move through the spring season, our classrooms remain filled with energy, focus, and meaningful learning. It has been wonderful to see students engaged and continuing to grow each day.

A reminder that Term 2 report cards were posted on Wednesday. Please take a moment to review your child's report card on ASPEN.

This week, students in grades 3 and 4 will be participating in the MCAS assessment. We are proud of the hard work they have shown throughout the year. We encourage students to get a good night’s rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and come to school ready to do their best.

April 2nd is Autism Awareness Day- To celebrate the beauty in the diverse spectrum of the human mind we invite students to wear Rainbow or Tie-Dye on April 2.

As a reminder, there will be no school on Friday, April 3rd.

Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to another great week of learning ahead!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Suzy Dalessio, Principal

Grade 2 Show

Congratulations and a job well done to our second-grade students along with the staff who supported all of the work that went into a wonderful performance, not just for our school community but for our families.

We all know how incredibly lucky we are to have such a fabulous arts team. Congratulations and a heartfelt thanks to Maria Bedrosian and Donya Lemieux for another amazing show. Watching the labors of their two classes come together to showcase all the aspects that went into the detailed learning about the Spanish culture, arts and language- every intricate detail did not go unnoticed!

A big thank you to our grade two teachers for all of the flexibility and support they offer behind the scenes that allowed for the production to go off without a hitch.

This week, we’re proud to celebrate one Hawk Hero Principal Shout Out! Lilian was recognized by Mrs. Wilton for her positivity during library time. She is a kind and caring friend who is always willing to help and uplift those around her, making the library—and our entire school community—a brighter place to be. 🦅✨

Congratulations Lilian (2)

📅✅Attendance Matters

A reminder to all families: Every school day matters for student success. While we recognize the value of family time, cultural experiences, and enrichment activities, families are reminded to consider the impact of missed class time. Vacation/extracurricular absences are unexcused and represent learning time that cannot be recovered.

If you have questions about attendance or need support, please reach out. We appreciate your partnership in your child's education.

Hello Hyman Fine Families,

* The cold weather is upon us- please make sure your child is dressed appropriately (coats, hats, gloves etc.) for the weather. When weather allows, children will go out for recess and brain break.

* Please follow the school’s guidelines of when to keep your child home from school, as this will help to minimize the spread of illness.

School Guidelines are:

A temperature greater than or equal to 100.0

Your child must be fever free for 24 hours, without the use of fever reducing medication such as Motrin/ibuprofen or Tylenol/acetaminophen

Your child must be without vomiting for 24 hours.

If your child is placed on antibiotics s/he must complete 24 hours of dosing prior to returning to school.

* Health Screenings (Hearing & Vision) will begin in the Health Office next week and continue until completion. Please make sure your child has their glasses at school.

* If your child is prone to accidents, please keep a change of clothes in their backpacks. Donations of new boys’ and girls’ underwear are always appreciated.

Thank you!
