Dear Fine Families,
We enjoyed another great week of teaching and learning, filled with student engagement, growth, and positive energy throughout our classrooms. As we look ahead, we have a fun and festive week coming up, along with a few important reminders and updates to share.
Due to last week’s snow cancellations, our 101st Day of School celebration has been rescheduled and will now take place on Thursday, February 12th (not February 10th as originally noted on the February calendar). To mark this special milestone, students are invited to dress in spots, inspired by Disney’s 101 Dalmatians—we can’t wait to see their creative outfits!
On Friday, February 13th, we will celebrate Valentine’s Day. Students are welcome to wear red, pink, or hearts to help spread the love throughout our school community.
As a reminder, for safety reasons, we remain a food-free school for all celebrations, including candy. Please keep this in mind if you are planning to send something in with your child. We truly appreciate your cooperation and support in helping us keep all students safe.
Please also note that Friday, February 13th is an Early Release Day, and students will be dismissed at 12:25 PM. No lunch is served on early release days.
Finally, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our families and community members for the incredible outpouring of donations through the PTO’s generous Supply Restock. Your kindness and support truly mean so much to our school. These donations help support daily learning and remind our staff and students how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring, generous community. Thank you for thinking of our school and for your continued support. Warm regards, Suzy Dalessio, Principal |

We are excited to celebrate three outstanding first-grade students who recently received Principal Shout Outs for exemplifying our Hawk Hero Core Values! These students are being recognized for their individual growth and progress—both academically and personally—as they continue to build confidence and shine as ready and responsible learners. Each of them demonstrates perseverance, a positive attitude, and a commitment to doing their best each day. Their teachers especially appreciate their dependability and willingness to follow routines, take responsibility for their learning, and support their classmates. We are so proud of the growth they have shown and can’t wait to see them continue to soar! 🦅✨
Way to go Cora (3), Lea (3) and Avery (3) |

❄️☃️ Cold Weather Reminder |
We go outside every day that the “feels-like” temperature is above 25 degrees, so please be sure to send your student with warm winter coats, hats, gloves or mittens, and appropriate footwear each day. Layering helps in keeping our students comfortable throughout the day!
If your family needs help finding winter gear, just reach out. No one should be cold on our watch! |
A reminder to all families: Every school day matters for student success. While we recognize the value of family time, cultural experiences, and enrichment activities, families are reminded to consider the impact of missed class time. Vacation/extracurricular absences are unexcused and represent learning time that cannot be recovered.
If you have questions about attendance or need support, please reach out. We appreciate your partnership in your child's education. |
