Dear Fine Families,
This week, we had so much fun celebrating 101 Days of School, “Spot Day!” Inspired by 101 Dalmatians, our hallways were filled with spots, smiles, and school spirit. Beyond the fun outfits, the day gave us a meaningful opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come in 101 days. Our students have grown academically, socially, and emotionally. We see increased confidence, stronger skills, and deeper connections each day. While it’s exciting to celebrate this milestone, it’s even more exciting to think about all the learning and growth still ahead of us this year.
As we look to the week ahead, please remember that February Vacation will take place February 16–20. There will be no school during that time, and classes will resume on Monday, February 23rd. We hope our families enjoy a safe, restful, and well-deserved February break filled with time to recharge and reconnect.
A friendly reminder about our car drop-off and pick-up procedures. To help us move students safely and efficiently—especially during the snowy winter months—we unload and load three cars at a time. If you are the first car in line, please pull all the way forward to the dumpster so the next two cars can pull up behind you. This allows us to load and unload students safely and efficiently while also keeping them out of the snow as much as possible. Lastly, grade 4 families, please be on the lookout for an email from Middle School Principals in regard to the Music Survey you were recently informed about. The survey allows you to select your child's 5th grade music option for the upcoming school year.
Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support. We are so grateful for our wonderful school community and look forward to all that the months ahead will bring! Warm regards, Suzy Dalessio, Principal |

This week was overflowing with celebrations and exciting calls home as we recognized several students with Hawk Hero Principal Shout Outs! Our school is truly shining because of the many students who demonstrate our Hawk Hero Core Values each and every day.
We feel so lucky to have so many children to celebrate! Their hard work, positive choices, kindness, and commitment to growth make our school community stronger. Whether they are showing responsibility in the classroom, perseverance with their learning, or respect toward others, these students continue to rise to the occasion.
Thank you to our families and teachers for partnering with us to support such incredible growth. ❄️☃️ Cold Weather Reminder |
We go outside every day that the “feels-like” temperature is above 25 degrees, so please be sure to send your student with warm winter coats, hats, gloves or mittens, and appropriate footwear each day. Layering helps in keeping our students comfortable throughout the day!
If your family needs help finding winter gear, just reach out. No one should be cold on our watch! |
A reminder to all families: Every school day matters for student success. While we recognize the value of family time, cultural experiences, and enrichment activities, families are reminded to consider the impact of missed class time. Vacation/extracurricular absences are unexcused and represent learning time that cannot be recovered.
If you have questions about attendance or need support, please reach out. We appreciate your partnership in your child's education. |
