Good evening Fine Families,

What a wonderful week we’ve had at Fine School! It was filled with learning, laughter, and connection.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our families who attended Fall Conferences this week. Your partnership and engagement make such a difference in your child’s growth and success. We truly appreciate the time you took to meet with teachers and share in your child’s progress.

Our grade 2 students also began their YMCA swim program this week, and they’ve shown great enthusiasm and confidence as they learn important water safety skills.

Today, we were also treated to a special performance by the AHS Drama Department. Our students were captivated by the incredible talent of our high school performers. It’s always inspiring to see the arts thriving across our district!

As a reminder, there will be no school on Tuesday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

Additionally, Picture Retake Day will take place on Wednesday, November 12. If your child was absent on the original picture day or would like a retake, please be sure to send them prepared that morning.

We will end next week with a comfy cozy Pajama Spirit Day on Friday, November 14th! We invite your students to dress cozy, no slippers or robes please.

We are collecting Non-Perishable items for our Food Drive this month. Please bring in canned goods, pasta and cereal to school throughout the month of November.  

If your child missed their picture retake day, or you were unsatisfied with your child's first photograph, please know that Lifetouch will be back for Picture Retakes on Wednesday, November 12.

Join us for a pajama spirit day on Friday, November 14th. No slippers or robes, just comfy cozy clothes or pajamas please. 

What job or special skill could you share with our students? We would love to begin organizing opportunities for special guests to come and share their skills and talents with our students. If you have a job or special skill that you could showcase, we would love to hear about it and coordinate learning opportunities with our school community.

Be on the lookout for the Attleboro Public Library Community Read Passport coming home in your child’s backpack. Students can use these passports to collect stamps at the various community reading events held throughout the school year. Once the passports are filled, they can bring them to school or to the public library to receive special recognition at the summer reading kick-off in June.  All events will be listed on the calendar at attleborolibrary.org.

Schools are required to track and monitor attendance closely to ensure every child has the best opportunity to learn. When attendance patterns become concerning, we will notify families with a monthly letter. These letters are meant to provide early support and resources to help improve attendance before it becomes a bigger issue.

Please note- if you are taking a family vacation, even if you share your absence reason as such, vacations are not excused absences. However, your early communication allows us to properly record your reason for absence. Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Together, we can help every student succeed by making sure they are at school—on time, every day, ready to learn!

Roller Skating Event

Join us on Tuesday, November 25th for a fun night at United Skates of America from 5:30-8:00. It will be open to Hyman Fine students and families only.

Cost: $6 skaters and non-skaters. Skate Rental Cost: $5.50 or Rollerblade Rental: $6.50 or you can bring your own skates. Tickets are available at the door the night of the party!
