Hello Families,
Friday was our first official HAWK HERO ASSEMBLY! I am truly honored to be a part of this incredible school! The students were a FANTASTIC AUDIENCE as we learned about our Hawk Hero Values, met Flash, sang, chanted and cheered! We surpassed our 4lb ticket goal and collected a little over 6lbs of tickets just in the first month of school! The students enjoyed their music at lunch reward. What a way to end the week!
You should have received a copy of our October Calendar this week. There are lots of fun and exciting activities to look forward to this month. Next week you can expect Picture Day and Bus Safety Presentations. Our students will be participating in bus safety presentations provided by Bloom Bus company. These presentations are to ensure all our students know bus safety expectations. This is important for not just our daily bus riders but for all students who may at some point experience bus rides during field trips, sports trips etc. as they progress through Attleboro Public Schools. It is important to expose and prepare students for what to expect when riding a bus and how to be ready in case of emergency. More information will be coming home with your students next week after they receive the presentation.
Also remember that Friday, October 11th will be an early release day for our students. Dismissal is at 12:25 and lunch will not be served on this day. We hope you enjoy the long weekend, as there will be no school on Monday, October 14 in observance of Columbus Day.
Wishing you all an enjoyable weekend!
