Dear Fine Families,
We began the week by celebrating the incredible talents of two of our students, whose artwork was recognized at the School Committee meeting. Congratulations to Bhavishya (K) and Isabella (4)! We are so proud of your creativity and the beautiful work you shared with our community.
On Friday, our second graders took center stage during their Taekwondo Graduation Ceremony. Over the past several weeks, students participated in Taekwondo classes in partnership with Mu Han Total Martial Arts, building confidence, focus, and perseverance. They did a wonderful job demonstrating their skills for their families, and we could not be more impressed.
As a reminder, there will be no school on Monday, January 19th, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Looking ahead, the Scholastic Book Fair will take place during the last week of January. Be sure to check the PTO section below for classroom visit dates, times, and volunteer sign-up opportunities.
Finally, please save the date for our Multicultural Night on Thursday, January 29th. More details will be coming soon. We look forward to an evening of learning, connection, and celebration with our school community! Warm regards, Suzy Dalessio, Principal |

❄️☃️ Cold Weather Reminder |
We go outside every day that the “feels-like” temperature is above 25 degrees, so please be sure to send your student with warm winter coats, hats, gloves or mittens, and appropriate footwear each day. Layering helps in keeping our students comfortable throughout the day!
If your family needs help finding winter gear, just reach out. No one should be cold on our watch! |
A reminder to all families: Every school day matters for student success. While we recognize the value of family time, cultural experiences, and enrichment activities, families are reminded to consider the impact of missed class time. Vacation/extracurricular absences are unexcused and represent learning time that cannot be recovered.
If you have questions about attendance or need support, please reach out. We appreciate your partnership in your child's education. |

This week, we are proud to recognize eight students who were nominated for demonstrating our Hawk Hero Core Values. These students stood out in a variety of meaningful ways—from showing determination, effort, and perseverance during recent benchmark assessments to consistently modeling kindness and respect in their interactions with peers. Several students were also recognized for the positive impact they have on their classrooms by supporting others and helping to foster a caring, inclusive learning environment. We are so proud of these Hawk Heroes for leading by example and living our core values each day.
Congratulations Kole (K), Lila (2), Aiden (2), Javier (2), Jacob (3), Charlie (3), Abby (3), Liam (3). |
