Dear Hill-Roberts Families,

We’re heading into our fourth week of school, and the energy and enthusiasm for learning is incredible! We're looking forward to seeing everyone at our Welcome Back Night (Open House) this Thursday from 5:30–7:30 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet teachers, explore classrooms, and learn more about the exciting year ahead.

You’ll also find some important updates and reminders below to help keep things running smoothly. Thank you for your continued partnership—we are off to a great start!

Sincerely,
Dr. Paul Madden, Principal
Ms. Julie O’Boyle, Assistant Principal

Tip of the Week

Dress in layers and label your coats, jackets, and hoodies!

The mornings are getting colder. We heat up during recess and its often warm by dismissal. Layering is great and labeling keeps the great stuff with you!

Heads Up: New Drop-Off and Pick-Up Routine in Early October

At Welcome Back Night we will have handouts for our new Drop Off and Pick Up Routine. This routine was developed by our summer committee, which was composed of staff and families. More to come.

Bus Loop Reminders

Do not enter the bus loop or the staff parking lot after 8:20am.

If you enter by accident, you cannot pass a school bus with flashing lights or a stop sign out, until an administrator directs traffic.

Wait patiently in the staff parking lot and we will help. By law (MGL Chapter 90 §14) this can result in a minimum $250 fine.

Reminder - Electronics Policy - Phones and Smart Watches

Short version: all phones and any watches that can record audio or video OR can communicate via text or voice or video must be stored in a students backpack and cannot be used by the student during the school day. Any exceptions need permission from an administrator and may be granted for documented medical reasons only.

Reminder - Student Handbook Sign Off

Parents/guardians must sign off as an acknowledgement of the student handbook. This has to be done for EACH CHILD. Thank you.

Nurse Office Note

The Dentist will be here on Tuesday, October 7th.

Attleboro Public Schools offers the services of a mobile dentist that will see your student during the school day.  The program is free and is intended for children who do not see a dentist regularly.

The forms will be coming home with your student next week.  If you do not want the service, you do not need to return the form.  If you would like your child to be seen by the dentist,  please make sure to fill out the form completely, check YES at the bottom and sign the form.

Medications in school: Please do not send medication into school in your student’s backpack.  A doctor’s order, parental authorization and medication plan is needed before any medication can be given in school.  I can only give Tylenol in school if you have indicated so on the Medical Update form that went home on the 1st day with your student. It is important that I get one back for each student.

If you received a packet of paperwork for your student’s epi-pen, seizure med or inhaler that was left here over the summer, please return that to me as soon as possible.  Paperwork for those need to be updated at the start of each school year.
