Dear Hill-Roberts Families,

We hope you’re soaking up the last sunny days of summer! 🌞 Our halls will soon be buzzing again, and we can’t wait to welcome students back for the 2025–2026 school year.

Mark your calendars for our big opening events — the always-fun Back-to-School Bash for Grades 1-4 (8/28) and Kindergarten Orientation (9/9)! Grades 1–4 start school on 9/2, and our youngest Huskies begin with Kindergarten Orientation (9/9) before their first day on 9/10.

This fall, we’re also working to make pick-up and drop-off safer for everyone. If you can join our improvement committee, RSVP for one of the August meeting dates below.

Also, a few reminders inside this issue: 🎒 School supply lists, 🚌 bus registration reminders, nurse updates, and more ways to engage in the community

There will be an additional post in two weeks with other important information, such as pick-up/drop-off info. Here’s to an exciting and successful year ahead!

Warm regards,

Dr. Paul Madden, Principal
Ms. Julie O’Boyle, Assistant Principal

Help Improve Pick-Up & Drop-Off!

We know that afternoons can be hectic, and we've noticed some safety concerns during family pick-up time, especially with car traffic and parking. We're forming a committee of staff, PTO members, and families to help improve the process for this fall.

Please RSVP here. We will be meeting on the following dates:

  • Monday, 8/18 at noon

  • Friday, 8/22 at noon

  • Monday, 8/25 (time TBD)

Back to School Bash for Grades 1-4

Thursday, August 28, 12:45pm-2:15pm

Hill-Roberts invites all our incoming Grade 1-4 students to our back to school bash! Students in Grades 1-4 will have the opportunity to meet their new teacher and classmates, tour their new classroom, and enjoy a cold treat and have some fun out by the play ground!

Classroom tours are as follows:

  • 1:00-1:15pm | Grade 1

  • 1:15-1:30pm | Grade 2

  • 1:30-1:45pm | Grade 3

Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your child's designated grade's visit. Students will line up by teacher's name at the front entrance of the school.

During classroom visits, all guests and siblings are asked to remain outside and are invited to go out back to the playground where they will reunite with their student for some fun!

We look forward to seeing our incoming Kindergarten students at Kindergarten orientation on September 9th.
