Community Potluck - 10/17/24

Please join us for a night of food, community and fun at the second annual Community Potluck at Hill-Roberts! The event is a great opportunity for us to celebrate the amazing community we make together and eat some truly delicious food, made by our own Hill-Roberts families. This event is quick to fill up as space is limited and we encourage you to sign up as soon as possible by returning the invitation to school by October 11th. The event can fill up and the registration can close when we hit maximum capacity, so return your form early to get a spot at the table!

Reminders - Dismissal and ABACUS Fee for Returned Students:

Reminder - Avoid Dismissal After 3pm - Please avoid dismissing your students after 3pm. Sometimes this is unavoidable, but for the goal of having an efficient and safe dismissal process for all, we need to be able to focus on preparing to dismiss 400 plus K-4 students. Thank you for your ongoing understanding and support!

Reminder - ABACUS Fee for Returned Students - If no adult is present in the afternoon to pick up your child, then they will be returned to HRES' ABACUS program (in our cafeteria) and a fee will be charged. If you are unsure of your students scheduled drop off and pick up times, you can search them here.

Nurse Office Note

4th grade families: I will be starting on Mandated Vision, Height and Weight Screenings for all 4th grade students next week.  This usually takes me several weeks to get through all of the students.  If they do not pass the Vision screening, a letter will be sent home with your student suggesting that they should have a complete eye exam by an eye doctor.   If you do receive a letter, please try to follow up with that appointment sooner than later as poor vision can certainly have an impact of learning.  Please return the completed letter to me after your visit.

If your family needs help with providing glasses, please reach out to me. The school district works very closely with the Lions Club to provide glasses for our students without insurance or whose insurance doesn’t pay for glasses.

If you do not want your student to participate in the mandated screenings, please send a note to the nurse stating your wishes.
