Dear Hill-Roberts Families,

I hope everyone enjoys the beautiful fall weather this weekend—it’s the perfect time to soak up the sunshine before a busy few weeks ahead at school! Next week begins with an Early Release Day on Friday, October 10 (12:25 dismissal), followed by no school on Monday, October 13. Then, we have some exciting events coming up: Picture Day on October 16, Bingo for Books on October 17, and our Fall Book Fair running from October 17–24. We’ll wrap up the month with one of our favorite traditions—Race for Education on October 31 (K–1 from 9:15–10:00, Grades 2–4 from 10:15–11:00)—and we’ll also celebrate our very first group of Golden Huskies at our CREST assembly that same day. It’s going to be a great month of learning, community, and celebration.

I hope to see many of you at our PTO meeting this Wednesday!

Sincerely,
Dr. Paul Madden, Principal
Ms. Julie O’Boyle, Assistant Principal

Wear Your Race for Ed T-Shirts on 10/31/2025

On 10/31 we will be hosting our annual PTO fundraiser, Race for Ed. Students will be provided with a free t-shirt to wear and they will have the option to wear it to school or put it on at school on Friday, 10/31.

Students will be walking around as part of Race for Ed, but we will not be doing a costume parade. Please keep costumes, costume props, and/or make-up at home. If you have any questions, please feel to reach out to us.

Heads Up: New Drop-Off and Pick-Up Routine in October

We are still working on the new drop-off and pick up routine. We were asked to consider a few additional items by the city and the bus company. As always, we are committed to doing our due diligence and would rather roll out a new plan later, but more carefully. After all, safety is our main goal :). Thank you for your continued patience.

Reminder - Student Handbook Sign Off

Parents/guardians must sign off as an acknowledgement of the student handbook. This has to be done for EACH CHILD. Thank you.
