Dear ELC Families,
What a week! The summer-like weather made it feel like the season arrived early — we hope everyone soaked it up! As temperatures continue to fluctuate, please remember to dress your students in layers, as it can get hot or cold both in the classrooms and outside on the playground.
Today was also an exciting day — the peer lottery for next school year was drawn! We are thrilled to share that almost all families who applied were offered a spot.
April Break — No School Next Week
There is no school next week for April break. We hope all of our families and staff enjoy a restful, fun, and rejuvenating week off. It is also the perfect time to shake off the viruses that have been circulating!
Upcoming Events — Monday, April 27
Cozy/Comfy Day: On Monday,April 27th we will celebrate our traditional Cozy/Comfy Day by wearing our comfiest outfits.
Therapy Dog Week: We will also be honoring Therapy Dog Day on April 30th — which we stretch into a whole week to properly celebrate our beloved Macy! We will be collecting $1 per student to donate to the Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter. Students are also invited to bring in a photo of their pet to display on their locker!
Virtual Family Presentation — "Make Everyday Routines Easier": KDC has invited our families to participate in a virtual presentation by Commonwealth Autism Services on Monday, April 27th. This is a wonderful follow-up to our PBIS presentation held last Tuesday! To sign up and receive the virtual link, please email tviveiros@kdc.org.
Teacher Appreciation Week — May 4–8
The PTO is looking for help to celebrate our amazing TES & ELC staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4th–8th. There is a Sign Up Genius as well as a donation link available. All contributions and help are greatly appreciated — every little bit goes a long way in showing our staff how much they mean to us!
