Dear ELC Families,
We understand that parking can be a challenge, and we truly appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep our school community safe. Please be sure to adhere to the cones and avoid parking in the areas blocked off near Doors 3 and 5. We have had a few near misses, and our goal is to ensure everyone’s safety at all times.
We are scheduled to receive a new parking lot over April break, which we hope will help reduce congestion on surrounding streets and create more space for families to park and walk up. We recognize that this can be difficult, especially with young children, but in order to maintain compliance with emergency access requirements and improve safety for our youngest learners, we kindly ask that you continue to park on side streets and walk to the building.
You may have also noticed our newer, larger cones. These were purchased after several cones were damaged by vehicles. If cones are in place, please do not park in front of or behind them. Please refer to the attached photo for clarification on no-parking areas.
As the weather improves, students are spending more time outside on the playground. Please make sure they come to school dressed in clothes that can get dirty and with appropriate footwear for woodchips and sand.
We are excited for tomorrow’s Someone Special Dance and look forward to a wonderful evening together at Hillside Country Club in Rehoboth!
Next week, we have two spirit days! Tuesday is National Crayola Crayon Day—students are encouraged to wear their favorite color and see who else in their class shares it. Thursday is our Red Sox Spirit Day. Opening Day at Fenway is Friday, but since we are not in school, we’re celebrating early! Students can show their Red Sox pride by wearing Red Sox gear or red, white, and blue (with the exception of Mr. Rich and his love of the Yankees—we’ll let it slide!).
Please remember there is no school next Friday in observance of Good Friday. Have a wonderful long weekend!
Warm regards,
Frank Rich, Principal
