Dear ELC Families,
As we begin the next term of the school year, we want to take a moment to remind everyone about the critical importance of school attendance. Research shows a strong connection between consistent attendance and academic success. When students are absent, they miss learning opportunities, access to resources, and connections with peers and teachers. These absences add up and can significantly impact your student's progress.
While we recognize the importance of family time, cultural experiences, and enrichment activities, we urge families to weigh these opportunities against the impact of missed instructional time. Also, absences due to vacations or extracurricular activities/events are considered unexcused under district and state attendance guidelines.
If you have any questions about attendance or need support ensuring your child is in school, please feel free to contact us. We are here to support you and your child's success.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's education.
Sincerely,
Frank Rich, Principal
Meghan Thomson, Assistant Principal

The District AI Task Force is launching a short survey to learn how families are using artificial intelligence, what questions you may have, and what supports would be most helpful. Your feedback will help the district create clear expectations, build shared understanding, and ensure our approach to AI is safe, responsible, and aligned with community needs.
Please take a few minutes to complete the Family AI Survey at the link below. Thank you for contributing your voice.

Our annual holiday food drive wrapped up today, and we were truly overwhelmed by your generosity. Despite the financial challenges many families have faced this year, your contributions remind us how deeply our TES & ELC community cares for the Attleboro community. Thank you for your kindness and support!
Big thank you to our ELC Staff, Ms. Maria and Ms, Kathy D., who helped TES Staff organize the drive! Thank you to TES staff, Mrs. Reilly and Mr. Rendell for helping to pack the food up. |

Attendance
A reminder to all families: Every school day matters for student success. While we recognize the value of family time, cultural experiences, and enrichment activities, families are reminded to consider the impact of missed class time. Vacation/extracurricular absences are unexcused and represent learning time that cannot be recovered.
If you have questions about attendance or need support, please reach out. We appreciate your partnership in your child's education.
