Early Learning Center

ELC Panda Press: 11/1/24

This has been such a fun week! Next week is a great time for the students to relax as we do not have school on Tuesday, November 5th as our staff is having fun learning at professional development. We also do not have school next Thursday, November 7th due to the elementary schools holding parent teacher conferences.

For the safety of our students and staff, we are sending along a few updates. From 8:30-9:00, 12:30-12:45, and 3:00-3:30 the loop is for buses only. If you're dropping off or picking up your student(s) during those times, we ask that you park in the parking lot and walk up to the bus loop entrance. All visitors must ring the buzzer and wait for the clerks to answer.

We will also be addressing challenging behaviors and how to use Positive Behavioral Supports as an alternative to punishment and consequences. This is the perfect chance to learn how to help teach your students to Be Kind, Safe, Respectful and Responsible at home! There will be time to talk about challenging behaviors that occur at home with our staff members. Interpreters will be made available.

Veteran's Day Parade

Veteran's Day Parade

We would like to show our appreciation for the TES/ELC community members who have served our country through a parade. On Friday, November 8th at 9:15 am, students and staff will line the parade route to show their gratitude for our veterans as they parade around the building. The TES/ELC student connected to the active military/veteran will get to walk the parade route with their service member. After the parade, there will be a quick reception for our veterans/active service members in the cafeteria. PM students are always welcome to join, however then need to leave and return at their session's time.

If you or a family member is an active service member or veteran of our armed forces and is available to join us on Friday, November 8th at 9:15 am please fill out TES/ELC Veterans Day Parade Google Form by TODAY.

If you have already confirmed your attendance, we will be sending out detailed information early next week.

DATE CHANGE: Due to unforeseen circumstances, we needed to move the date of the Harvest Festival to November 8th.

Our PTO needs your help to make this year's Harvest Fest a success. We know people are sometimes reluctant to help out at events as they would like to enjoy the night with their family. In an attempt to give you the best of both worlds:

Helping out our PTO

Getting to enjoy the event with your family

We have broken the event up into smaller time blocks. Our hope is that you find a block you can volunteer for and then be with your family for the rest.

As we approach the month of November, we invite you to participate in our "30 Days of Thanks & Planks" challenge.  Starting Friday, November 1st, you'll work to increase your plank hold from 20 seconds on day 1 to an impressive 3 minutes by day 30!  Each day, as you focus on your planks, we encourage you to take a moment to reflect on something you're grateful for. It's important to take time to appreciate the little things in our lives.

Attached is a calendar for you to follow.  We hope you will join us in this fun and uplifting activity.

Be kind & be well,

Lisa and Stephanie

Queridas familias,
