Dear ELC Families,
We hope you had a wonderful week! We're excited to share that "Ice Skating" season has officially begun at the ELC, and the excitement in our classrooms is palpable!
For those new to this beloved tradition, our ice skating experience involves children gliding across a mat full of shaving cream—a sensory activity that has become one of the absolute highlights of the year for our students. The joy and wonder on their faces as they "skate" is truly something special. In fact, just last year, one of our prior students, who is in high school, told Ms. Lauren how he still remembered ice skating from his preschool years and what an amazing experience it had been for him. These are the moments that stick with our young learners!
Your child's teacher will be communicating with you about when ice skating will take place in your classroom. And here's a helpful heads-up: if your little one comes home smelling like a barber shop, you'll know exactly why! We promise it's all part of the fun.
Reminder: There is no school on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We hope you enjoy the extra time with your families!
Go Patriots!
Sincerely,
Frank Rich, Principal
