As we gear up for an exciting new school year, I want to extend a warm welcome back to each of you and your children. We are thrilled to have our students return and eager to undertake another year of learning, growth, and discovery together.

This year, our school community is committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. 1st Day of School: What to Expect

As we approach the start of the school year on September 3rd, 2024, we want to ensure that you have all the necessary details to help your child have a smooth and successful first day. Please review the following information carefully:

  • Drop-Off Procedures:

    • Walkers: Students who walk to school should arrive by 7:30 A.M.

    • Parent Drop-Off: Parents/guardians dropping off students can do so beginning at 7:30 A.M.

    • Breakfast: Students eating breakfast at school may enter the building at 7:30 A.M.

    • General Entry: All other students may enter the building at 7:40 A.M.

    • Homeroom: Students should be seated in their homeroom by 7:50 A.M. Any student not in homeroom by 7:50 A.M. will be marked tardy.

  • Tardiness:

    • Students arriving after 8:15 A.M. must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

  • End of the School Day:

    • The school day concludes at 2:20 P.M. Students staying after school must arrange a pick-up with their parent or guardian.

  • Absences:

    • Parents/guardians should report their child's absence by calling the school and following up with a written note when the child returns.

  • Lockers/Locks:

    • Students should bring a combination lock on the first day and provide the combination to their homeroom teacher.

  • Lunch Program:

    • The lunch program will be free for all students this year. However, we kindly ask all parents to complete the free/reduced lunch form, as this information supports federal grant funding for our school.

  • Grade-Specific Information:

    • Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 on the first day of school should report directly to their homerooms, found on ASPEN.

    • Fifth-grade students will report to the cafeteria and their first assembly.

We appreciate your attention to these details and your cooperation in helping us start the school year smoothly. If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

The Brennan school supply list can be found here.

Forms to be Completed and Returned

Please ensure that the following forms are completed and returned to your child's homeroom teacher as soon as possible:

  • Medical Forms: These are essential for maintaining up-to-date health records for your child.

  • Free/Reduced Lunch Forms: Even though the lunch program is free this year, completing this form is crucial. The number of accurate applications we receive directly impacts the federal funding our school receives, which supports educational resources for all students. We encourage all families to fill out the form, even if you believe you may not qualify. You can access the application here.

  • 7th Grade Updated Immunization Records: These records must be provided to the school nurse, either by bringing them in person or faxing them.

  • Forms to be Completed through ASPEN: Please log in to ASPEN to complete any required forms for your child.

Thank you for your prompt attention to these important matters. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
